Knocked out!!!
So we watch The Bachelor, shamefully. It is seriously such a turd of a show…but we have a reason behind watching it. We’re part of a fantasy league. I know…shutup. But it actually makes this whole thing fun. There’s a scoring for each time a contestant gets a rose, when they cry, when they say that one of them is not there for the right reasons, when they act crazy in some...

Doggie adventures...
So as I was driving to work, I noticed an adorable golden Lab kind of gallavanting around the yard of a house. I quickly realized, though, that he did not have a leash on or an owner in sight. My hopes that the yard had an invisible fence were crushed, when the dog started to run to the corner of the sidewalk, then cross the street. It upset me so much, I got to work and called the non-emergency...

Yes...the Swedish version
I saw the first one and definitely thought they did a good job translating the book to film. They left out the superfluous fluff and kept to the story. I highly doubt the American version will be as good, though. Likely the fluff will find its way back in. Sigh.

On a totally different note...
distraction distraction distraction… Did anyone else think “The Girl Who…” books were a big bunch of poo? I only read two, can’t bring myself to read the third. The first one, I’ll admit, had an interesting story and I definitely wanted to know what the eff happened. I could not have cared less about le stud Blomkvist (how do you say stud in Swedish?) and his...

I can’t really explain it. It’s like…from the outside, everything looks normal. I can joke and play and laugh and look nice and hang out and be involved and everything. The second I’m alone or it’s quiet or I have a minute to think…my mind starts racing and the flutters start going around my belly and my heart palpitates and I think of everything I haven’t...

I have ish today and I don’t know why. I’m really trying to get to the root of it because that always helps me. But I can’t reach it. I’m just jittery and flustered and generally nervous. And truly, there’s absolutely no reason. This is not helpful, because I can’t logic it away. So I have to accept it. Accept its presence. Deal in the best way I can. Move on. ...

therealestsocksinthegame: Speaking of Andy Cohen, wasn’t that the fakest “AWWW” you ever heard in your life when Kim was saying why she didn’t stand up for Kyle in NYC? I mean….really, dude? Really? Seriously…I feel bad for Kim. She’s just painful painful painful. It’s so obvious that she doesn’t belong there. She uncomfortable and so so so awkward. The rest of...

Okay…has anyone (watching ReHoz and ReHoz commercials) noticed at the end of the NY promo how Sonya is standing? What’s with the vampire sleeping position of her arms?

…I know people love Andy Cohen, but I just think he’s MEAN. To Camille…three nasty words…pause for effect…three more…pause again…three more to dig it in deeper…pause yet again…and three more words!!! Now, I don’t like the Camille Grammer that’s portrayed on my tv screen, edited or not, but jeez, man. I feel like he’s just so...

-rosasparks-: Anyone who can be in True Grit, The Informant!, the Bourne movies, those lazy Ocean’s movies AND The Talented Mr. Ripley is a-ok with me. He is good in everything. He has the most fatal smile ever. He looks like a real person. He is smart, even though he’s not in Team America: World Police. He has a great sense of humor. He’s boss. It's a tahini miracle!
So after yesterday’s lunch debacle, I came back today with the will to not waste food. I was armed with some homemade tahini vinaigrette and lo, it has done the trick! My once bland little chicken and various veggies salad is now alive with yummy garlicky tahini flavor! YAY! All is right with the world of the Saddle.

WHAT IS TUMBLR'S PROBLEM!?
Jan 25th
ideleteme asked: Just so you know, I wasn't being bitchy. I don't know if I came off that way, but that's why I used "one" instead of "you" because I didn't want you to take it personally, and because I really am asking how people use/follow too. Although I did read it as being a little neg about porn tumblrs, so maybe that seemed a neg reaction in mine to yours? Annnnyway,...

See…my body’s been liking chicken since my surgery, so that’s why I’m eager to start making it at home more. I just figured it was the way I make it that sucked. Or maybe I just can’t cook anything other than breakfast and Italian food. Oh well… Yeah, I thought as I was washing out the marinade bowl that I should have saved and cooked it. Oh well. Thanks for...

Recreations
I hate lunch. I think it’s the worst meal of the day. I’ve always struggled with this. I love breakfast. Love dinner. Can eat at restaurants for both, can recreate yummy things at home for both. Lunch? Lunch escapes me somehow. I have ish about what I want to eat at restaurants when lunch is involved (unless I KNOW I’m gonna like the salads and/or sammiches, I’ll usually...

I knew the heart of gold comment would bite me in...
ideleteme: I think there are lots of people — both porny and not, specific and all over the place — who follow for follows (or for content). But I think there are more that follow out of genuine interest. And they don’t expect a reciprocal follow, even if they may appreciate one. I get questioning what someone’s interest in you might be, I have done that before, but there are so many more...

Good morning, and may I say...
…I get that people follow people in hopes that they’ll, in turn, get followed back and build up a readership and blah blah blah. But do people read the content of the person’s blog before they hit follow? I mean, if you’re reading my blog, it’s pretty easy to see that I’m not really going to be into straight up porn on my dashboard. I write about the Real...

Me: Sure
Jonny: Thanks
Me: You're a Jonagold. I'm gonna start calling you Jonagold.
Jonny: Don't call me Jonagold. There's a reason for that which you wouldn't like.
Me: who, [redacted ex-girlfriend] or [redacted ex-girlfriend]?
Jonny: haha, [redacted ex-girlfriend].

Sports vs. cheesy women's television
For me the answer’s easy. Yeah yeah, Bears, Packers, blah blah blah, significant game, Super Bowl, blah blah blah. But there’s a Lifetime movie about a sicko who killed a preggo woman and stole her baby!!!!!!! SICKO KILLING WOMEN AND STEALING BABIES!!!!!!!! I mean, clearly that is better television.

srmarymartha: I’ve been reading up on my favorite RH series, apparently I missed a doozy last night with the finale for Beverly Hills. Anyway, people are super divided about Kim, and some people are all, ughh she disgusts me, she wants everyone’s pity. Which, really? Totally.
nerdshares: Oh, someone else also asked this, so the reason for my immediate horror was not because “innocent victims” doesn’t get tossed around or because I think it’s a tautology per se but because it was used in a context where the shooter was taken alive? As in he didn’t kill himself and wasn’t killed by the police (hence “guilty victim” or just “victim”), so the phrasing hit me as odd. It...

And not always getting it right? Yes! The second half of...
